This pattern is taken from the Paris in Diamonds Booklet which focuses on Entrelac Knitting. Entrelac is the French term for interlocking,
or interweaving. It refers to a technique of working one row of blocks (or diamonds) after a another, instead of the traditional one row of stitches after another. The blocks are connected diagonally, the sides of one row of blocks become the bottoms of the next row.  To work with Entrelac, a knitter needs no more knowledge than how to knit, how to purl, how to pick-up stitches.

Parisian Cabled Capelet 
This pattern is taken from the Paris by Cable booklet.  is worked in one piece from neck down to bottom. Increases for shoulder shaping are clearly instructed. The Cable and Rib pattern is  repeated around on a circular needle.

The Parisian tote products are my creations based on ideas that come into my shop, the Yarne Source, in Pittsford, NY. When a customer brought in a straw carryall purchased in a Parisian street market, I fell in love with its design.  I replicated it in a knit verion adaptable to various yarn combinations adding jewelry accents, lining, & unique handles.The pattern first appeared in Vogue Knitting in Spring/Summer' 2005. Demand for the Parisian patterns then skyrocketed across the country
